Journal

This area of the site showcases a project I began in January 2003. The Journal Quilt project was proposed by Karey Bresenhan, Director of the International Quilt Festival. It was to be "a free-form exercise in creativity, specifically planned to encourage quilt artists to stretch and grow." The project was open only to members of the QuiltArt list and the Journal Quilts were displayed at the 2003 International Quilt Festival show in Houston, TX.

This was my first year participating in the project, and I used it as an opportunity to try all new techniques. There were no rules to the project other than each page had to be 8.5x11, and vertical in orientation.
